USAA Life Insurance Teams Up With Express Imaging Services (EIS) eHealth Link™ Powered by SEQSTER

USAA to utilize EIS's eHealth Link Powered by SEQSTER to expedite the retrieval of member health data and to further its underwriting automation

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Express Imaging Services, Inc. (EIS), a leading provider of medical record retrieval and digital data solutions, has announced they will work with USAA Life Insurance Company (USAA) to streamline the underwriting process for USAA's members. This expansion will allow USAA to utilize all EIS services, including eHealth Link Powered by SEQSTER, EIS Direct, Special Authorization Retrieval Application (S.A.R.A.), and EIS underwriting solutions.

USAA will be among the first companies utilizing EIS's eHealth Link powered by SEQSTER to expedite the retrieval of member eHealth data and further automate its underwriting process. This will allow USAA to quickly and easily access critical health information, ensuring a smooth and efficient underwriting process for its members.

In addition to eHealth Link, USAA will also be using EIS Direct, S.A.R.A., and EIS underwriting solutions to expedite and streamline the entire underwriting process, providing members with the best possible purchase experience. These services will allow USAA to efficiently extract ICD-10 codes, SNOMED codes, RxNorm codes, CPT codes, and LOINC codes, which will help to build their rules engine and improve underwriting cycle times.

USAA can now access all of the services available from EIS. From document scanning to optical character recognition (OCR) and machine learning (ML) capabilities, USAA can increase their productivity and accuracy with minimal user effort. The EIS solution also allows for remote capture and self-service capabilities, allowing applicants to securely and seamlessly access their eHealth data.

“USAA is excited to expand its relationship with EIS and leverage their suite of services. EIS's expertise and innovative solutions will allow us to extract and analyze critical health information, streamlining the underwriting process for our members,” said Benjamin Davidson, Chief Life Underwriter at USAA. "EIS's innovative solutions, including eHealth Link, will allow us to quickly and efficiently access critical health information, improving our decision-making process."

"We are thrilled to work with USAA and provide them with our suite of services to improve their underwriting process and overall member experience," said Paul Terry, CEO of EIS. "At EIS, we pride ourselves on creating effective partnerships and services that help our clients meet their goals, and we look forward to working with USAA to achieve theirs."

The expansion with USAA is part of an ongoing effort to create cost-effective solutions that enable insurance organizations to reach new levels of efficiency, streamline their processes, and transform their operations.
