The Fed expects fewer rate cuts: what does this mean for savers, borrowers and the exchange rate?
Interest rates in dollars do not seem to be coming down any time soon. Last June 12, the U.S. Federal Reserve kept its interest rates in the range of 5.25%-5.50%, the highest in 20 years. Since June 2023, inflation in the United States has been stagnant at around 3% year-on-year, above the 2% target set by the Fed.
