MCLEAN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Sunrise Senior Living, a leading provider of senior living services, announced today the appointment of Nick Stengle as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Tavinder (Tav) Hare as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

“I am pleased to welcome both Nick and Tav to the Sunrise family as we embark upon this next chapter of exciting growth in our ongoing journey of championing quality of life for all seniors,” said Sunrise Chief Executive Officer, Jack R. Callison, Jr. “Both Nick and Tav have incredibly strong track records of fostering mission-oriented cultures and teams as well as building highly scalable operating platforms to produce industry-leading internal and external growth. Nick’s diverse operations and leadership background across both the healthcare and hospitality industries demonstrates his ability to successfully create value by driving team member engagement and retention as well as customer experience enhancements that create brand loyalty. Tav has a proven history of building strategic, high-performing teams that drive strong financial performance and enable expansion. I look forward to partnering with these two talented leaders as we support our tenured and mission-focused Sunrise team in growing our leadership position in the industry.”

Mr. Stengle brings more than twenty years of executive experience in growth strategy development, global operations and leading major organizational initiatives to Sunrise. Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer of Kindred at Home, the largest home health provider in the U.S., where he supported a team of over 30,000 associates as they delivered care to more than 100,000 patients, including during the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to Kindred at Home, Mr. Stengle advised private equity portfolio companies including as a member of TPG Capital’s portfolio operations team. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President, North America Operations for HMSHost International and Vice President – Global Operations for Marriot International. Earlier in his career, Mr. Stengle was a Project Leader with Boston Consulting Group. “I am incredibly honored to join Sunrise, a mission-focused organization, that has been a pioneer in the industry for the last 40 years,” Mr. Stengle said. “Sunrise’s strong culture and values embodied by each of its team members create a strong foundation with which to grow, and I am personally excited to support our team as we continue to set the standard for high quality, personalized senior living to positively impact families today and into the future.”

Before joining Sunrise, Mr. Hare served as Chief Financial Officer of Retail Real Estate for Majid Al Futtaim, a real estate and retail operations organization with a presence in 20 countries and 44,000 employees worldwide.
