Stewart Title Adds Local Underwriting Expertise in San Francisco

HOUSTON, March 17 -- Stewart Information Services, a global real estate services company, issued the following news release:

Marion Aaron has joined Stewart Title's San Francisco Commercial Services office as Associate Senior Underwriting Counsel. In this role, she will be responsible for providing top-level strategic legal expertise while also contributing significant guidance to the real estate transaction process.

She reports to Richard Blumenthal, Senior Vice President, Senior Underwriting Counsel and Manager of the Stewart Title San Francisco Commercial Services Center.

"We are thrilled to have Marion as a key member of our Commercial Services operation," said Blumenthal. "Her extensive experience in handling commercial real estate transactions, both in private practice and as a title underwriting counsel, will give Marion the ability to provide expert service to our commercial customers."

Marion brings more than 29 years of legal expertise to Stewart. Most recently, she was a partner with the law firm Berding & Weil, where she represented non-profit mutual benefit corporations and property owners in real estate transactions and corporate governance. She previously held senior management and commercial underwriting positions with Old Republic National Title Insurance Company and Fidelity National Title Insurance Company.

She received her Juris Doctor in 1988 from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, her Masters of Arts and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She is a member of the State Bar of California (Real Property Section) and is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the State of California, the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, and the United States Tax Court.
