Small Business Owners, Insurance Experts Discuss Role of Business Interruption Insurance

WASHINGTON - Today, the House Committee on Small Business heard from a panel of small business owners and experts on the topic of business interruption insurance. Subcommittee on Innovation and Workforce Development Ranking Member Troy Balderson (R-OH) led the conversation for Committee Republicans.

Panelists and Members had a productive discussion about the role and limitations of business interruption insurance for small businesses impacted by COVID-19. They also highlighted problems with retroactively requiring coverage for the COVID-19 pandemic.
