Senior Life announces promotions

Thomasville Times-Enterprise (GA)

Aug. 25--Senior Life Insurance Company officials recently announced corporate promotions within the company. Machelle Beason was named supervisor of the accounting department; Kimberly Pollard, manager of the in-bound customer service department; and Wade Bone, vice president of advertising.

Beason, supervisor of the accounting department, began her career with Senior Life in 2002 and served many different roles throughout the company. In 2004, Beason moved to the accounting department after continuing her education and obtaining a diploma in applied office technology from Southern Regional Technical College. While working in accounting, Beason assisted both agents and policy holders in customer service while she learned a variety of accounting and operational duties.

In 2015, Beason began taking on more responsibilities, including oversight of multiple departmental duties and assisting in employee training.

"We are very proud of Machelle and her accomplishments and appreciate her hard work, dedication and loyalty to Senior Life. We look forward to her future accomplishments and impact that her knowledge and wealth of expertise provide the company," said Ron Powell, president of Senior Life Insurance.

Beason will now supervise accounting staff in all aspects of customer service while taking on additional responsibilities with billing, employee training and updating departmental practices and procedures.

Pollard, named supervisor of the in-bound customer service department, graduated from Evangel University, earning a degree in psychology. In 2012, Pollard began working for Senior Life Insurance in its policy services department, where she assisted policy holders and conducted quality control procedures. Pollard, from the beginning, has displayed excellent customer service skills and a genuine desire to assist company sales agents and policy holders.

As the company has grown, a dedicated customer service department has been formed to serve sales agents and policy holders with a diverse range of services.

"Kimberly was asked to lead this new department, including the organization and implementation of employee training and customer service protocol," Powell said. "Her knowledge, experience and dedication to providing an outstanding customer experience to every agent and policyholder we serve will benefit customers immediately. We are excited to have Kimberly focus on this new role."

Bone graduated from Valdosta State University with a bachelor of business administration and majored in marketing. Bone joined Senior Life in the leads department in 2009 and immediately displayed his talents. Bone served in roles progressing from marketing/media coordinator, director of the leads department and assistant vice president of marketing media prior to taking on the newly-developed role of vice president of advertising.

Along with his determination to increase business for the company through assisting agents, Bone began taking on new responsibilities such as training, on-boarding assistance and advertising.

"Senior Life is grateful for Wade's hard work and innate ability to advertise Senior Life on multiple platforms," Powell said. "We are eager to watch his future performance that is sure to be accompanied with abundant success."

Senior Life Insurance Company began in 2000 when Powell and his father, Dale Powell, chief executive officer of Senior Life, acquired the company. Prior to the acquisition, the company, founded in 1970, was known as Provident Security Life and served six states. The company now operates in 39 states, as well as Washington D.C., and is pursuing national status. In October 2013, Senior Life opened its current home office and corporate headquarters at its new location, 1 Senior Life Lane, in Thomasville.
