SCAN Health Plan Achieves Milestone, Serving More Than 200,000 Members in California

"We're excited to celebrate reaching 200,000
The news of SCAN's membership growth comes as policymakers and legislators continue to validate the importance of expanded benefits and additional choices for seniors. As a result of newly enhanced Medicare flexibility, many SCAN plans now offer in-home care visits after a hospital or skilled nursing facility stay for things like bathing, dressing and meal deliveries and telehealth "virtual doctor visits." Most SCAN members also have access to reduced out-of-pocket costs, no co-pays when ordering the most commonly used prescriptions via the mail-order pharmacy option, and enhanced transportation services.
Roth adds, "Our primary goal is and will always be to deliver programs and services of real value to our members. We look forward to serving our members, welcoming new ones, and building upon our mission and success in 2019."
