Rep. Walorski Introduces Bill on Classification as Full-Time Employee

WASHINGTON, Sept. 16 -- Rep. Jackie Walorski, R-Ind., has introduced legislation (H.R. 3798) to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 "to repeal the 30-hour threshold for classification as a full-time employee for purposes of the employer mandate in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and replace it with 40 hours."
The bill was introduced on Sept. 14 and has 13 co-sponsors. Co-sponsors include Reps. Daniel Lipinski, D-Ill., Ted Yoho, R-Fla., Collin C. Peterson, D-Minn., Kyrsten Sinema, D-Ariz., Kurt Schrader, D-Ore., Joe Wilson, R-S.C., Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., Bruce Poliquin, R-Maine, Bill Flores, R-Texas, Neal P. Dunn, R-Fla., Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., Scott R. Tipton, R-Colo., and Michael T. McCaul, R-Texas.
The legislation was referred to the House Ways and Means Committee.
