Rep. Neguse Introduces Bill on Coverage of Hearing Devices in Private Health Insurance Plans

WASHINGTON, Dec. 20 -- Rep. Joe Neguse, D-Colo., has introduced legislation (H.R. 5485) to amend title XXVII of the Public Health Service Act and the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act "to require coverage of hearing devices and systems in certain private health insurance plans."
The bill was introduced on Dec. 18 and was co-sponsored by Reps. Mike Thompson, D-Calif., and David B. McKinley, R-W.Va. It was referred to the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
