Rep. Delaney Introduces Bill on Digestive, Inherited Metabolic Disorders

WASHINGTON, May 24 -- Rep. John Delaney, D-Md., has introduced legislation (H.R. 2587) to "provide for the coverage of medically necessary food and vitamins for digestive and inherited metabolic disorders under Federal health programs and private health insurance."
The bill was introduced on May 22 and was co-sponsored by Reps. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Wash., Michael E. Capuano, D-Mass., and Stephen F. Lynch, D-Mass. It was jointly referred to the House Energy and Commerce, Ways and Means, Armed Services and Oversight and Government Reform committees.
