The ARP builds on the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and reduces the cost of health insurance by expanding eligibility for financial assistance. At the beginning of this year, Trone fought hard to pass the ARP so that the country could effectively combat the health and economic crises caused by the pandemic.
Since the enactment of the ARP, premiums for consumers with existing federal Marketplace plans have decreased by 40%. Additionally, 14.9 million uninsured Americans gained access to health care coverage. The report highlights how Marylanders in the

* 25,000 people who don't have health insurance are eligible for subsidies.
* 21,000 individuals can now enroll in an ACA plan at no cost.
* If everyone in the district with access to a
