Regal Medical Group And Lakeside Community Healthcare Collaborate With L.A. Care During Covered California Open Enrollment

Regal Medical Group (RMG) and Lakeside Community Healthcare (LCH) are partnering with L.A. Care Health Plan to promote L.A. Care's Covered California plans before the end of the month. The three organizations are hosting four community events throughout Los Angeles County to help individuals and families enroll with a Covered California plan.

The first event will be held on Friday, January 20, 2017 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the San Fernando Recreation Park. The second event will take place Monday, January 23rd at RMG's Los Angeles office on 3rd Street from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. The third event is scheduled for Thursday, January 26th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at LCH's Burbank Buena Vista location. The final event will be Sunday, January 29th at the Our Lady Queen of Angels church in Downtown Los Angeles from 8:30am to 1:30pm.

These events emphasize the importance of having health insurance. Attendees will have an opportunity to speak with an agent, where they can discuss the different L.A. Care health plans available for individuals and families and learn if they qualify for a government subsidy to help reduce their monthly premium.

Since the enactment of the Affordable Care Act, also known as "Obamacare," 20 million Americans have health insurance. 2.5 million Californians have enrolled with a Covered California Exchange plan.
