Radius Strengthens Its U.S. Individual Tax Practice

Business Wire

New hires add depth to team focusing on federal and state tax planning for individuals

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- International expansion services expert Radius is strengthening its U.S. tax practice, which specializes in federal and state tax planning and risk management for multinational corporations and high net worth individuals. The move occurs as Radius transitions to the Vistra brand. The investment in the practice is part of Vistra’s comprehensive strategy to become the world’s recognized leader in international expansion services.

Under the leadership of managing director Jon Lamphier, Radius’ U.S. tax practice continues to build on a talented team of experienced CPAs, tax attorneys and business consultants. In November, the practice welcomed Bethany Swartwood as director of U.S. tax. Swartwood has over a decade of experience providing comprehensive global tax planning and compliance services, and has held senior positions at EY, Deloitte and PwC. She is based in San Francisco.

Radius’ U.S. tax practice has also tapped Paul Rubino to be its senior director of U.S. expatriate tax. Based in Florida, Paul has thirty years’ experience advising public and private organizations on global tax mitigation, international payroll delivery and structuring, tax equalization policy design and global equity planning. Prior to joining Radius, he was a director at the CPA firm GMT and was in senior management positions at various Big Four firms.

“I’m delighted to have Bethany and Paul on our team,” said Lamphier. “They’re very impressive tax practitioners, just the kind of experts who will help our clients gain an edge in today’s complex global tax environment. Our U.S. tax practice provides a unique combination of expertise and white-glove client service. Now that we’ve joined Vistra — with its impressive global footprint and 1,300 international expansion experts — our clients can rest assured we can solve virtually any tax problem, regardless of jurisdiction.”
