Property Management Leaders Educate and Train Franchisees at Annual PMI Summit Convention

(PMI) franchisees gathered to learn from the best in their industry during PMI Summit, Sept. 20-22 at Snowbird Resort in Utah. PMI, one of the fastest growing real estate management franchises, hosted its annual PMI Summit, an education and training conference focused on business development and growth for its network of property managers (see also Property Management Inc.).

As franchisor, PMI leads franchise owners in creating and growing their own successful property management company. This year at Summit, franchisees heard from some of the most successful industry leaders who shared innovative ways to build a property management business. Karen Birdy, Vice President of Support at PMI Birdy Properties in San Antonio, Texas, said "I learned so many things in the classes, more than I have at any other convention I've attended, and I have been doing property management for many years." Birdy feels that although the property management business is not new, PMI has made it exciting again by providing leading-edge programs through which she can expand her market and increase the profitability of her business. At the Summit Awards Gala, franchisees and others were recognized for reaching new heights of excellence for PMI. Two notable awards were: Colorado Casa PMI Team of the Rockies named as Franchise of the Year and Propertyware named Vendor of the Year. A variety of industry related companies attended Summit. Two new benefit programs were announced by PMI's Director of Operations, Jeremiah Cundiff, a health insurance plan for franchisees and the PMiPerks discount program. Leveraging its size, PMI now offers health insurance plans to its franchise network. The availability of health insurance at reduced group rates is another benefit of being in the PMI property management network. The PMiPerks program offers discounts nationwide on retail, dining, entertainment and more.
