News editors obtained the following quote from the background information supplied by the inventors: “Despite the continued importance of managing personal resources (e.g., battery power, memory, etc.), there is yet to be developed an effective system of leveraging electronic capabilities to assist with multiple aspects of managing resources.”
As a supplement to the background information on this patent, NewsRx correspondents also obtained the inventors’ summary information for this patent: “Described herein are one or more examples that include an electronic system that provides various features and functionality for managing personal resources (e.g., battery power, memory, or money). For example, an alert may be sent when a mobile device crosses a geo-fence. The alert may describe how much of the resource is available for the types of transaction that are likely to occur within the geo-fence. The alert may request or confirm the allocation of the transaction to a resource pool or suggest alternative transactions.
“This Summary is provided to introduce a selection of concepts in a simplified form that are further described below in the Detailed Description. This Summary is not intended to identify key features or essential features of the claimed subject matter, nor is it intended to be used to limit the scope of the claimed subject matter. Furthermore, the claimed subject matter is not constrained to limitations that solve any or all disadvantages noted in any part of this disclosure.”
The claims supplied by the inventors are:
“1. A method comprising: determining an action associated with a mobile device; responsive to the determining the action associated with the mobile device, determining a resource of a plurality of resources; determining a stash of the resource of a plurality of stashes of the resource; and replenishing, based on the action associated with the mobile device, the stash of the resource.
“2. The method of claim 1, wherein the action associated with the mobile device comprises at least one of a location of the mobile device, a movement of the mobile device, use of an application on the mobile device, a purchase made using the mobile device, or a check deposited using the mobile device.
“3. The method of claim 1, wherein the resource comprises at least one of power, memory, bandwidth, or funds.
“4. The method of claim 1, wherein the determining the stash of the resource of the plurality of the stashes of the resource is based on previous transactions.
“5. The method of claim 1, wherein the action associated with the mobile device comprises charging of the mobile device.
“6. The method of claim 1, wherein the determining the stash of the resource of the plurality of stashes of the resource is based on a balance of one or more stashes of the plurality of stashes of the resource.
“7. The method of claim 1, wherein the action associated with the mobile device comprises depositing a check using the mobile device; and wherein the replenishing the stash of the resource comprises replenishing the stash using funds from the deposited check.
“8. A computing device comprising: one or more processors; and memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, causes the computing device to: determine an action associated with a mobile device; responsive to determining the action associated with the mobile device, determine a resource of a plurality of resources; determine a stash of the resource of a plurality of stashes of the resource; and replenish, based on the action associated with the mobile device, the stash of the resource.
“9. The computing device of claim 8, wherein the plurality of stashes are associated with different resource usage categories.
“10. The computing device of claim 9, wherein the instructions cause the computing device to determine the stash of the resource based on a resource usage category of the action associated with the mobile device and the different resource usage categories associated with the plurality of stashes.
“11. The computing device of claim 8, wherein one or more stashes of the plurality of stashes are associated with time periods; and Wherein the instructions cause the computing device to determine the stash of the resource based on a time of the action associated with the mobile device and the time periods associated with the plurality of stashes.
“12. The computing device of claim 8, wherein the instructions cause the computing device to determine the action associated with the mobile device based on the mobile device being within communication range of a WiFi device, or a near field communication (NFC) device, or another device.
“13. The computing device of claim 8, wherein the instructions cause the computing device to replenish the stash of the resource further based on an availability of the resource.
“14. A non-transitory computer readable medium comprising instructions that, when executed, cause operations comprising: determining an action associated with a mobile device; responsive to the determining the action associated with the mobile device, determining a resource of a plurality of resources; determining a stash of the resource of a plurality of stashes of the resource; and replenishing, based on the action associated with the mobile device, the stash of the resource.
“15. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 14, wherein the action associated with the mobile device comprises receiving funds via the mobile device; and wherein the replenishing the stash of the resource comprises replenishing the stash using the funds received via the mobile device.
“16. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 14, wherein the action associated with the mobile device comprises receiving, by the mobile device, a media access control (MAC) address of another device.
“17. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 14, wherein the resource comprises at least one of power, memory, bandwidth, or funds.
“18. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 14, wherein the action associated with the mobile device comprises at least one of a location of the mobile device, a movement of the mobile device, use of an application on the mobile device, a purchase made using the mobile device, or a check deposited using the mobile device.
“19. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 14, wherein the determining the stash of the resource of the plurality of stashes of the resource is based on a balance of one or more stashes of the plurality of stashes of the resource.
“20. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 14, wherein the determining the stash of the resource of the plurality of the stashes of the resource is based on previous transactions.”
