SYDNEY, Australia, Aug. 1 -- The Insurance Council of Australia issued the following news release:
The Insurance Council of Australia Limited (ICA) Board today ratified the applications of two general insurance companies that had sought membership of the ICA.
The new member companies are:
* Cover-More Insurances Services Pty Ltd
* Domestic & General Insurance PLC
The ICA now has 56 members, representing more than 96 per cent of total premium income written by private-sector general insurers.
The Board, meeting in Sydney, also accepted the resignation of a director, Mr John Myler, who has left his role as CEO of RACQ Insurance.
