Military Veterans Trained as Claims Adjusters are Ready to Assist in Hurricane Harvey Aftermath
"At Emergent Services, we are a band of brothers and sisters who have proven our dedication to the welfare of Americans through our willingness to potentially sacrifice our lives in the service of our country," Waller said. "Many of us, myself included, answered the call to serve after 9/11 happened. "Military veterans transition into ideal property adjusters," he said. "They exemplify the qualities of dependability and integrity. They are trained to be conscientious decision-makers in high-stress environments who understand the value of teamwork and taking the initiative. They are tenacious, adaptable and present a professional presence."
Currently, Waller's company employs former military and others who are experienced independent property adjusters, but plans to expand by offering training and future employment to veterans who are looking for new opportunities to support their families. He started out with five military veterans, but intends to grow to the company to 50 military veterans through their 5-to-50 Campaign.
"There are more than 2,500 property and casualty insurance companies out there that provide residential and commercial insurance to American home and business owners," Waller said. "Our immediate goal is to reach 10 insurance companies who recognize that military veterans are well-suited to represent them to their policyholders after a catastrophic weather event."
"We invest our profits back into the growth of the company and the long-term sustainment of our adjusters and their families," he said. "It's a win-win situation that answers the needs of qualified veterans and insurance companies seeking top-notch independent adjusters."
