MCFD firefighters respond to 'Christmas miracle'
The responders found one occupant trapped in a car and went to work removing the roof of the vehicle to extricate the ensnared motorist.
"The subject was able to walk away from the accident with non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by Maury EMS," the department shared in a message on Wednesday afternoon.
A young child was riding in one of the vehicles and sustained minimal injuries thanks to the family's proper use of a car seat, firefighters said.
"If you are ever in an accident make sure to replace your child safety seat as they are only rated for one collision," the department said in the statement. "Your insurance provider may also cover the replacement of this seat so please check with them in an event of an accident. Stay safe."
The department operates from 12 stations scattered across
