Seville - Mary Lou Kish, age 72, went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 2nd, 2022 surrounded by her family. She had made her peace with God and greeted Death as an old friend with the grace and dignity that she carried with her throughout her whole life. Mary Lou was born April 1st, 1949 to Joseph and Florence (Nolt) Kish at Barberton Citizens Hospital and grew up in Wadsworth. She graduated from Wadsworth High School in 1967. She worked at Travelers Insurance Company (1971-1982) as a Claims Coordinator, Allstate Insurance Company (1983-1988) and Metropolitan Life Insurance Company (1989-1994) as a Unit Manager and Supervisor. She completed her career at The Velotta Company in Human Resources and retired in 2014. Mary Lou loved her family and friends fiercely. She was very involved with The Girls Class of 1967, The Yayas and The Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary. She also did volunteer work with Medina Hospice and Friends of the Trails and was a member of First Christian Church, Wadsworth. She loved going on bus trips and cruises with her friends. She also loved going fishing with her brother Paul. Her son, daughter in law and grandsons had the absolute honor of sharing their home with her for the last 17 years. So many wonderful and treasured memories were made with this amazing lady. She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Florence Kish and sisters Cathy Spurlock and Carol (David) Hudik. Mary Lou is survived by her son Matthew (Dawn) Neil and grandsons Tommy and Rudy; brother Paul (Cathy) Kish; nephews and nieces Harley (Christal) Spurlock, Angie (Ryan) Lane, Lisa Merical, Jason (Meaghan) Wiencek, Taylor (Andrew) Tuel and many great nephews. The family will receive friends 5-8 pm, Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth. Funeral service will be conducted 11 am Thursday, February 10 at First Christian Church116 E. Boyer St., Wadsworth with Pastor Sarah West Officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
