Luxury Vehicles with the Lowest Cost to Insure, According to Mercury Insurance

PR Web

LOS ANGELES (PRWEB) August 17, 2021

Vehicle sales were affected in various ways during 2020 – while sales of vehicles priced under forty thousand dollars saw a decline, sales of vehicles priced at seventy thousand dollars or more saw a significant growth. Mercury Insurance (NYSE: MCY), a leading auto insurer in California and provider of auto insurance in 10 other states, has put together lists of the most affordable new luxury vehicles for various segments to help consumers find a vehicle that will save them money on insurance.

Mercury's research and development team examined 2021 model year (MY) luxury sedans and SUVs that are available at car dealerships today to compile these lists.

"For some drivers, owning a vehicle is a passion and not just a necessity," said Chong Gao, Mercury Insurance Director of Product Management R&D. "Luxury vehicles offer greater performance and top-notch engineering, which can result in higher insurance costs. Mercury has put together a list to help consumers choose a vehicle that is affordable to insure."

Here is the top-ten list for new luxury cars, beginning with the most affordable make and model to insure.

  • Mercedes A220/A250
  • Audi A3/S3
  • Acura ILX
  • Acura TLX
  • Lexus IS/ES
  • BMW i3
  • Infiniti Q50/Q60
  • Audi S4
  • Mercedes CLA/250/C300
  • BMW 330/M340
