Lockton Opens Portland Operation to Serve Commercial Insurance Clients

PORTLAND, Ore., Aug. 29, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Lockton Insurance Brokers has opened a new commercial insurance operation in Portland to serve the needs of its expanding client base. Lockton, the world's largest privately held, independent insurance broker has opened an office in the Centerpointe Office Park at 5 Centerpointe Drive in Lake Oswego, Oregon.

"This is a first step in a plan to expand our service to clients in Portland," said Tim Noonan, President of Lockton's Pacific operations. "The Portland business community is dynamic and we see opportunities for long-term growth to serve corporate clients in risk management, insurance, and employee benefits."

Lockton will start with temporary office space and expand to permanent offices in 2017.

Andrew McClave, an insurance industry veteran with roots in Portland, will play a key role in the Lockton operation. McClave has been named Producer in Lockton's new Portland office. He has been advising clients on risk management and property and casualty insurance issues for a decade, including for the past year with Lockton. He also has been a national accounts executive with Zurich, a global insurer. Early in his career, he coached as a graduate assistant for the Oregon State Beavers. He grew up in Portland and is a graduate of Jesuit High School where he earned All-State honors in football on both offense and defense. He played linebacker for UCLA.
