CITY OF KOOTENAI, IDAHO SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE # 236 TITLE 8, ZONING REGULATIONS KOOTENAI CITY CODE SUMMARY: The City of Kootenai, Bonner County, Idaho adopted Ordinance #236 on June 6, 2023, amending Kootenai City Code Title 8, to establish definitions for antennas, attached and detached structures, recreational vehicles, and principle residences as well as updating definitions for business service operations and wireless communication facilities; Amending the residential use table to allow Accessory Living Units (ALUs) by right in the Residential-1, Multi-family, and Neighborhood-Office zones on lots or parcels that conform to site area minimums and other zoning regulations; Forming a new section limiting the occupancy timeframe of recreational vehicles (RV), setting standards for RV storage, and providing for RV occupancy during construction of a residence; Updating the wireless telecommunication facility standards and procedures to prohibit facilities in residential zones, setting standards for location of facilities and mitigations of impacts, as well as adding application requirements for signal strength data and reporting; and providing that the Ordinance be effective upon publication of this Summary.
