The Council for Affordable Health Coverage (CAHC) issued the following statement on the President signing the $1.9 trillion COVID relief package:
"With over 160 million Americans getting health insurance through their jobs, it is the market based foundation of health care access in this country.
"As part of this platform, CAHC has long championed reinforcing job based insurance, including keeping COBRA affordable for those who lost their jobs during the pandemic. This legislation will help make this a reality," said CAHC President Joel White.
"We will continue our work with the administration to ensure this provision is implemented in a seamless manner that allows workers the easiest path to continuing their coverage."
