Insurance scam can push premiums higher, Ohio says
Department of Insurance Director Judith French said in a prepared statement that the fraud, known in the insurance world as“ past posting,” hurts more than the insurance companies. From July 1, 2021, to June 30, 2022, the Department of Insurance received 7,433 allegations of insurance fraud and insurance agent misconduct, according to agency data.
