Indiana State University has announced the winter 2025 recipients of the Hines Memorial Medal.
The award honors students who began their studies at Indiana State as first-time, full-time freshmen and are graduating with the highest cumulative GPA in their class.
Named for Linnaeus Hines, the university’s fourth president (1921–1933), the Hines Memorial Medal “celebrates exceptional academic achievement and the dedication of students who exemplify the university’s highest standards.”
The recipients of the 2025 winter commencement Hines Memorial Medal are:
• Samuel V. Fox, insurance and risk management major, Oak Creek, WI
• Taylor Paige Hamilton, elementary education major, Fishers, IN
• Emma J. Harvey, architectural engineering technology major, Bolingbrook, IL
• Suzanne L. Head, intelligence analysis (counterintelligence) major, Mooresville, IN
• Reagan Linn Kelly, kinesiology major, Newburgh, IN
• Bryce L. Maxwell, operations and supply chain management major, Terre Haute, IN
• Alyssa N. Streur, psychology major, Greencastle, IN
“Each of these students represents the very best of what it means to be a Sycamore,” said Indiana State University President Mike Godard. “Their commitment to excellence, perseverance, and intellectual curiosity sets a powerful example for our entire campus community. We are incredibly proud to honor their accomplishments with one of the university’s most distinguished awards.”
