DANVILLE — Geisinger Health Plan was recently named a 2026 best insurance company for Medicare Advantage in Pennsylvania by U.S. News and World Report.
Geisinger Health Plan received a "best overall" rating of 4.2 out of five stars, four out of five stars for screening and prevention and 4.2 out of five stars for care continuity.
The ratings are determined by an evaluation of private insurance companies on the basis of U.S. News' analysis of more than 30 measures published by the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, according to a Geisinger press release.
"This is once again a testament to Geisinger Health Plan's continued commitment to providing high-quality medical coverage and excellent member services to Medicare beneficiaries across Pennsylvania," Karen Murphy, president of Geisinger Health Plan, said.
UPMC Health System was also named to the list, with a best overall rating of 4.1 out of five stars and 4.2 out of five stars for care continuity.
