Florida Blue ranked top health insurance company by Insure.com

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Nov. 23, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Florida Blue, a leading health solutions company, earned the top ranking among health insurers across the country in a new survey released by consumer insurance company website Insure.com.

According to the site, survey respondents gave a 1-5 rating based on a number of relevant categories. Florida Blue earned the no. 1 spot in the nation with an overall score of 93.1, which included the following individual category scores:

Customer Service - 4.75
Value for Price - 4.75
Claims processing - 4.75
Would recommend - 4.30
Plan to renew - 4.25

The annual Insure.com Best Health Insurance Company survey collects feedback from insurance customers nationwide. Only current customers of the insurers were surveyed, and the survey was not open to the general public. Health insurers were ranked according to a weighted 5-point measurement of the following factors: customer service, claims processing, value for price, would recommend and would renew. Weighted measurements were derived from surveyed policyholders' rank of prioritization of these factors.
