Farmers Insurance has opened up in the old Pale Blue Smoking Co. building located at 121 E. Cedar Ave. in downtown Gladwin.
Amanda Fratzen is the business owner and she celebrated the grand opening of her business with a ribbon cutting event on Thursday, February 10.
Fratzen previously worked in Detroit as a sales manager when she and her husband found themselves out of a job due to pandemic related downsizing. She and her family have had a second home in Gladwin for roughly five years, and they ultimately decided to make it their permanent residence and to leave the big city life behind them.
In Gladwin, Fratzen spent nine months as a Farmers Insurance protege and learned how to effectively run an insurance agency. The business space was purchased by Fratzen in October 2021, and they are now officially open and eager to gain new clients.
Frazten is joined by Ashley Glynn, who is currently a protege and business partner with Frazten, and Daniel Willis, who is handling the customer service for the office.
Farmers Insurance in Gladwin is open from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. For any insurance inquiries or quotes, stop in and see the group on East Cedar Avenue.
