EDITORIAL: Lance: To the Deer Lakes School Board

March 30--With ever-more taxpayer funding that doesn't produce better results among things that must change to improve public education, the board's unanimous condemnation of a state Senate education-savings-account/tuition-voucher bill is in lockstep with longtime school-choice opponents' support for the stagnant status quo.

"We don't think it's a wise investment," said a district spokesman. But it's parents' opinions about their children's education that count the most.
