Dr. Ravi Mehrotra Joins MTS Health Partners as Partner

NEW YORK, June 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- MTS Health Partners, LP (MTS), the independent New York-based investment bank, today announced that Dr. Ravi Mehrotra will join the firm as a partner.

Dr. Mehrotra joins the MTS leadership team of nine partners and will be focusing on the life sciences sector. He brings nearly two decades of healthcare equity research experience to the strategic advisory and capital raising platform at MTS.

"Ravi's deep analytical focus on key biopharma industry issues and his wide ranging relationships with both companies and investors, combined with the distinct investment banking franchise that we have built to date, will continue to propel us to be among the most prominent and value-added strategic and financing advisors to the life sciences industry," said Andrew Weisenfeld, partner at MTS.  

Prior to joining MTS, Dr. Mehrotra led several equity research franchises and has been involved in more than 100 IPOs and financings. Dr. Mehrotra spent 11 years at Credit Suisse, most recently as global head of biotechnology equity research based in New York and previously as head of European biotechnology and EMEA generics equity research in London. Dr. Mehrotra's research was particularly focused on macro strategic and micro therapeutic analysis. During his time at Credit Suisse, Dr. Mehrotra was ranked the number one biotechnology analyst in both European Institutional Investor and Extel surveys for multiple years. Prior to Credit Suisse, Dr. Mehrotra was head of European biotechnology equity research at SG Cowen and a pharmaceuticals equity analyst at Deutsche Bank. Most recently, Dr. Mehrotra served as the chief corporate development officer at OvaScience, a public global life sciences company.

Dr. Mehrotra holds a bachelor of science and a Ph.D. in biochemistry from Manchester University, U.K. Dr. Mehrotra is currently transitioning to his role at MTS and will be working full time at the firm starting September 2016.
