doxo Mobile Puts Your File Cabinet in Your Pocket

doxo app, introduced today for iPhone, enables consumers to receive and store bills, access important documents, and connect with their providers, anytime, anywhere

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- doxo, the digital file cabinet designed to help consumers organize household bills and important documents, today introduced doxo Mobile, an application that aims to change the way that smartphone users store, access and protect personal information, as well as receive and pay bills. With doxo Mobile, consumers can safeguard important documents for life; travel paperfree; create a digital file cabinet for bills and personal information; and access those materials anytime, anywhere. doxo Mobile also enables consumers to connect directly with providers to receive bills and important documents for multiple providers from their smartphones, from one account, with one password. For providers that are connected with users on the doxo.com platform, doxo Mobile gives them multiple access points to interact with customers from the desktop or on the go.

“We started doxo with a mission to simplify life and make it easy to go paperfree and stay organized. Our users have been requesting the doxo Mobile app since the day we launched as it’s been a headache to stay on top of things when you’re travelling or not at your desk. doxo Mobile liberates users from their PC and file cabinet,” said Steve Shivers, co-founder and CEO. “For providers on the doxo Network, doxo Mobile provides even greater freedom to connect and interact with their customers and help them manage accounts paperfree anywhere at any time.”

doxo Mobile is the first app available on the market that enables customers to manage any household account; access important documents; and manage bills all from one service. doxo users utilize the app in many different ways, including:

  • Digital file cabinet. Documents and bills can be uploaded and organized by account
  • Pocket bill management and payment. Users can view account information and receive and store bills directly from the doxo app; in the near future, users will be able to pay bills directly from their mobile phones
  • Safety deposit box. Users can securely store back-ups of insurance policies, marriage licenses, house deeds, important notes or photos—and easily access materials away from the desktop
  • Travel portfolio. With doxo Mobile, the smart phone becomes a digital travel portfolio, with secure copies of your passport, driver’s license, itineraries and lodging confirmation as well as click-to-call contact numbers; users can snap photos to store business receipts for expense reports or taxes
  • Password vault. With doxo’s bank grade security, users can save passwords and store important account numbers all in one secure place
  • Daily deal vouchers. Deals and coupons from multiple sites like Groupon and Living Social can be stored in one place and users can quickly track their expiration dates

Providers connect with their customers directly on doxo to send paperless documents to their doxo accounts, both online and on doxo Mobile. With doxo, providers can drive significantly higher paperless adoption than is possible through individual efforts. Businesses of all sizes can get started and maximize the multiple doxo platforms to connect with customers, turn off paper, deliver documents and receive payments with doxoPAY (currently available on doxo.com; soon to be available on doxo Mobile). No software or professional services are ever required. Businesses on doxo typically save 80 percent or more on the average cost of mailing a document and receiving a payment. “We have been successfully leveraging the doxo platform to drive paperless adoption among Puget Sound residents, and we are excited that PSE and our customers now have even more access points to connect and go paperfree,” said Rudiger Wolf, vice president and CIO for Puget Sound Energy. “With doxo.com, our customers no longer need to wait by the mailbox for their bills and, with doxo Mobile, they don’t need to sit by their desktop either. Now we will be able to easily connect with customers and send and receive bills, wherever those customers may be.”

For users: doxo Mobile will initially launch on the iPhone, with Android and other platforms to follow. To download the new doxo Mobile app, go to http://www.doxo.com/iphone/.
