DNC: Trump Has Tried to Cut Social Security and Medicare Every Year — Now He's at It Again

WASHINGTON, Aug. 14 -- The Democratic National Committee issued the following news release on Aug. 12:

Yesterday, when asked about Trump's plan to permanently eliminate the tax that funds Social Security and Medicare, Kellyanne Conway dodged the question and lied that Trump has lived up to his promise not to touch these vital programs.

Yesterday, Kellyanne Conway said that Trump will continue to make good on his promise not to touch Social Security and Medicare.

At a tele-town hall last night, Trump once again made clear that he plans to rescind the tax that funds Social Security and Medicare.
