INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: THIS IS FOR THE RICHMOND VAMC ONLY

The Department of Veterans Affairs Mid Atlantic Health Care (VISN 6) intends

to negotiate a sole source procurement with DirectTV authorized distributor Retirement HomeTV for TV services at the Richmond Hunter Holmes McGuire, Fisher House, and Emporia CBOC. It is the Department of Veterans Affairs intent to sole source this requirement due to the prior significant investment of Direct TV SD equipment that includes over 300 receivers that will be upgraded through trade-in for HD services. Retirement Home TV, a small business authorized DirectTV distributor, currently provides TV services to Richmond Hunter Holmes McGuire, Fisher House, and Emporia by vertical agreement from Direct TV due to the termination of E&E Enterprise, Inc.

This proposed procurement is for services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a). The NAICS code is 515210 and has a size standard $15M for this procurement. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any company that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time.-- Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirement.--

Responses received will be evaluated; however a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.-- If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award.-- The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice.
