Cambria Investment Management Launches Cambria Digital Advisor

PR Newswire

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 29, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Cambria Investment Management, LP, today launched Cambria Digital Advisor, a people-powered solution with no management fees. The platform is designed to help individual investors reach their investment goals through a customized portfolio of low-cost, globally-diversified ETFs managed by a team of investment professionals.

Cambria Digital Advisor's client portfolios are powered by a research-driven investment framework called the "Trinity Portfolio," designed by Cambria Chief Investment Officer Meb Faber. The Trinity Portfolio features a unique three-pronged approach of globally diversified assets, value and momentum tilts and an active trend following component – all of which can be customized to fit a client's personal goals and risk tolerance. The framework is outlined in-depth in a white paper available here.

"Unlike passive investment strategies, Cambria Digital Advisor uses both buy-and-hold and active trend following strategies to adapt to the changing market environment and potentially generate real, wealth-building investment returns while also reducing downside risk," said Faber.

The portfolio comes with no management, commission or rebalancing fees. Clients are only charged a small technology platform fee, 0.15%, as a result of Cambria's partnership with industry-leading technology partner Betterment Institutional. Clients are also charged the underlying fund cost, which varies per ETF. All Cambria Digital Advisor accounts are integrated with Betterment's platform resulting in a simple and intuitive client experience. Clients will also have access to automatic rebalancing, efficient tax harvesting and seamless account aggregation.

Cambria Digital Advisor offers an unparalleled high-touch, human component that extends beyond traditional portfolio management. In addition to managing client portfolios, Cambria's team of investment experts is available to answer questions, discuss holdings and help track progress any time.

Cambria's Chief Executive Officer Eric Richardson added "We're excited to combine the simplicity of a buy-and-hold portfolio with the benefits that have traditionally come from more costly actively managed strategies. Cambria Digital Advisor is uniquely positioned to serve the needs of investors who are looking to incorporate active strategies while avoiding the fees that come with many offerings."
