Bucks County socialite and GOP fund-raiser Claire Risoldi found guilty of insurance fraud

Feb. 05--Bucks County socialite Claire Risoldi was found guilty in a Doylestown courtroom Tuesday of attempting to defraud a major insurance company out of $20 million.
A jury of 10 men and 2 women deliberated for more than four hours before finding the 71-year-old woman guilty of six of nine charges, including insurance fraud, theft by deception, and receiving stolen property.
She was first charged in 2014 with attempting to defraud insurer AIG.
Linda Montag, Pennsylvania senior deputy attorney general, said Risoldi could face a potential maximum of 60 years in prison.
