The armed duo wore distinctive black hoodies, black ski masks and black gloves, and detectives soon discovered a similarly dressed team “committed an armed robbery the night before in the city of Cocoa Beach,” officials said.
Investigators haven’t revealed how they identified the suspects, but the team included a 29-year-old man (“a convicted felon”), his 27-year-old sister (as the getaway driver) and a juvenile, the sheriff’s office said.
It took a couple weeks to catch all three, but they are now in custody and face a series of robbery-related charges that include a mix of felonies and misdemeanors.
“This is definitely a type of family bonding you don’t see every day, but folks I don’t recommend it!” Ivey said in the release.
