BRIEF: Dolco fire now considered arson; reward offered

Feb. 09--WENATCHEE -- The Jan. 14 fire at Dolco Packaging in south Wenatchee first reported by authorities as accidental is now being investigated as arson.
Surveillance footage shows a person setting the pallets on fire and then fleeing the scene, according to Brian Brett, deputy chief with Chelan County Fire District 1.
About six pallets of highly flammable packaging materials were destroyed and three more were damaged in the early morning fire, Brett said. Damages are estimated at $2,000 to $5,000.
No one was harmed and no structures were damaged.
A reward of up to $10,000 for credible information is being offered by the Arson Alarm Foundation and the Northwest Insurance Council.
