Boone Co. Indicts man on 64 counts related to sexual abuse, assault

MADISON — A Boone County grand jury handed up multiple indictments during its April 2024 Grand Jury session, according to court records provided by the Boone County Circuit Clerk's Office.

Included in the indictments are 64 felony counts for Jared Randall Lambert, 37. The counts include:

Sexual abuse in the first degree - 31 Counts

Sexual abuse by parent, guardian, and custodian - 32 Counts

Sexual assault in the first degree - 1 count

According to court records, Lambert, "Unlawfully, feloniously, and intentionally subjected another person, who was in younger then twelve years old to sexual contact."

Joshua Mackey was indicted on one felony count of insurance fraud. Zachary James Perdue was indicted on one felony count of grand larceny. Richard Doyle Workman, Jr. was indicted on one felony count of grand larceny, one felony count of obtaining by false pretenses. Brandon Scott Meade was indicted on one felony count of possession of intent to deliver a controlled substance and one felony count of conspiracy.

Additionally, Christopher Adkins was indicted on one count of fleeing in reckless indifference and one count of possession with intent to deliver. Ricky Bennett was indicted on three counts of failure to register sex offender, first offense (Lifetime Registrant).

David Eric Cales was indicted on one count of malicious assault. Michael Crass and Breanna Powell were indicted on one count of destruction of property. Jerry Dale Hager, Jr. was indicted on one count of fleeing with reckless indifference and one count of battery.

An indictment is a formal criminal charge brought against a defendant; it does not indicate guilt or innocence.
