Biden Has Misplaced Priorities

The Biden-Harris administration has misplaced priorities and it is clear they do not prioritize the American people.

While the nation struggles to recover from the impact of the global pandemic and Democrat-led lockdowns, Americans have only seen weak leadership from Biden and a stalled policy agenda that has done nothing to improve the economic conditions in our country.

Recent headlines report that the Biden-Harris administration is considering giving nearly $450,000 to some illegal immigrants in settlement agreements. These illegal immigrants – who broke our nation's laws –are represented by attorneys who convinced them to sue us for enforcing those laws.

All told, a family of five illegal immigrants claiming to have been detained separately could be awarded millions of dollars from the American taxpayers for breaking our nation's laws. That is not only insulting and unfair to American citizens, but it reinforces the fact that the Biden-Harris administration is not putting Americans first.

U.S. Senator Tom Cotton said, "It would be unthinkable to pay damages to a burglar who broke into your home for the ‘psychological trauma' they endured during the crime. And yet the Biden administration wants to reward migrants who illegally entered our country with up to $450,000 each for just that reason. The Biden administration's promises of citizenship and entitlement programs have already caused the worst border crisis in history-a huge cash reward will make it even worse. This is the height of insanity."

Think about it this way – under the U.S. Army Casualty Program, "Servicemembers' Group Life Insurance (SGLI) provides automatic life insurance coverage of $400,000 to soldiers upon their enlistment."

American men and women who give their lives for our freedoms have a guarantee of $400,000 for their families, but the current Commander in Chief wants to give illegal immigrants more money for breaking the law.

Joe Biden has a long track record of putting foreigners over American citizens.

Joe Biden did nothing to stop the flow of money and resources from COVID-19 relief benefits from going to illegal immigrants. During the most difficult of times for parents, students, and small businesses, we saw this administration once again prioritize non-citizens.

Biden's first action in the White House was to stop the critically important Keystone Pipeline. Thousands of jobs were lost for hardworking Americans. Just a few months later we all saw the Biden-Harris administration reward Russia by working with Germany to allow them to move forward with the Nord Stream 2 pipeline.

Last week the Biden-Harris administration created protected areas where illegal immigrants cannot be arrested for breaking the law. Of course, he has not applied this same novel idea to American citizens.

Radical Democrat policies that work against the American people are wrong and being rejected. The reason why Joe Biden's approval numbers continue to tank – now down to 42% in the recent Gallup poll – is because he is focused on putting the wrong people first.

If you are a Black American voter, Latino U.S. citizen, first-generation APA voter, or a suburban middle-class family trying to figure out how you are going to pay the bills the last thing you want to see is the government bailing out illegal immigrants.

If you have friends or family in places like Virginia, New Jersey, and Ohio who voted this week, the last thing they want to learn is that Democrats do not value our Constitution. In fact, Democrats are pushing to give non-citizens the right to vote in states like Vermont.

Americans need good-paying jobs, entrepreneurs need skilled workers to come back to work, and the economy needs a robust workforce to keep the country going. Raising taxes is the wrong way to go. Promoting incentives to stay home and not return to work is the wrong way to go. Proposing legislation that will do nothing to stop inflation, address the labor shortage, fix the broken supply chain, and reward illegal immigration through open borders and cash payments is not the way to go.

Voters will look at how Biden has treated them. Voters will remember how they felt living under the Biden-Harris administration, and what our so-called leaders did – and didn't do – to help. Voters are being let down, Americans are being forgotten, and illegal immigrants are being rewarded all thanks to Joe Biden and his radical administration.
