BCH hosting session on health insurance information

Beatrice Community Hospital will host a community education session on health insurance questions at 2 p.m. Friday.
The hourlong session is sponsored by the Nebraska Department of Insurance, the Nebraska Hospital Association and the Nebraska Rural Health Association. The focus is on education and answering questions about the complexities of health insurance.
Topics include how the Nebraska Department of Insurance help you, the basics of Medicare, the difference between original Medicare and Medicare Advantage, recapping changes in Nebraska that impact people with Medicare, open enrollment for the Affordable Care Act, preventing fraud. There will also be a question-and-answer period for any other insurance questions.
