Barney & Barney’s Beyond Benefits Now Covers 5,000 Employees

SAN DIEGO, Nov. 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Barney & Barney Insurance Services LLC, a Marsh & McLennan Agency LLC, today announced that more than 5,000 employees are now covered under Beyond Benefits, an innovative employee benefits program that allows life science and biotech firms to secure more affordable health care coverage for employees.

Beyond Benefits enables life science and biotech companies to pool their coverage needs and together secure health insurance rates typically available only to larger companies with more employees. Beyond Benefits is open to California life science and biotech companies with more than five employees.

Since its launch in 2012, Beyond Benefits has saved member companies $4.95 million in annual medical premiums. The program started with 11 companies and 500 employees and has grown to 160 companies and more than 5,000 employees.
