AXA Announces Key Appointments to Financial Posts

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- AXA Equitable, a leading financial protection company, announced today that Robin M. Raju has been appointed treasurer of AXA Financial, Inc., and Yun “Julia” Zhang has been appointed treasurer of AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company and MONY Life Insurance Company of America (MLOA). AXA Equitable and MLOA are affiliated under the AXA Financial umbrella.

Raju will continue to report to Anders Malmstrom, Senior Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer, AXA US. Zhang will report to Raju.

Currently, Raju is Managing Director, Business Area CFO of AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company. His responsibilities include CFO of Business Lines for AXA in the US, M&A, Corporate Finance, and Expense Management.

Since joining AXA in 2004, Raju has held positions in the Transformation Office of the CEO, the Funds Management Group LLC. and with the AXA Advisors broker-dealer. He also spent three years at AXA S.A. headquarters in Paris.

Yun “Julia” Zhang joined AXA in 2007 as a key member of the Derivatives team. She has served as Lead Director and Assistant Treasurer at AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company since September 2014. In this role, Julia is responsible for the company's Corporate Finance division and has oversight responsibility for treasury activities and rating agencies. She also serves as business CFO for the company’s Legacy Book. Julia was hailed as one of the "Top 30 Under 30" by Actuarial Magazine in 2013.

As newly appointed treasurers, they will oversee rating agencies, capital management, dividend strategy, banking relationships and financial strategy for AXA Financial, Inc.; AXA Equitable; MLOA; and all related entities.
