Aon Appoints Lambros Lambrou as Chief Commercial Officer and CEO of Global Specialties for Commercial Risk Business

CHICAGO, Illinois, May 2 -- Aon, a provider of risk management, insurance and reinsurance brokerage, human resources solutions and outsourcing services, issued the following news release:

Aon plc, the leading global professional services firm providing a broad range of risk, retirement and health solutions, today announced the appointment of Lambros Lambrou to the new role of Global Chief Commercial Officer and CEO of Global Specialties for the firm's commercial risk business.

Lambros has worked within the risk management industry for over three decades with experience across Asia Pacific, North America and EMEA in insurance, reinsurance and alternative capital markets. Lambros has played a central role in a number of Aon's key growth initiatives over the last ten years, particularly in the development and launch of innovative solutions for the firm.

Lambros has held several positions with Aon internationally, most recently as CEO of Aon Risk Solutions Australia. Previously, Lambros served as CEO of the Global Broking Centre in London and Chief Broking Officer for Aon Risk Solutions EMEA. This followed roles with Aon as Global Chief Operating Officer for Aon Broking, Head of Aon Analytics and Head of Carrier Management.
