AmeriHealth Caritas Updates on Subsidiary Name Changes

AmeriHealth Caritas reported that it has changed the names of its Medicaid health plans in Northeast Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia to align with its national brand.

In a release, the Company noted that AmeriHealth Northeast is now AmeriHealth Caritas Northeast and AmeriHealth District of Columbia is now AmeriHealth Caritas District of Columbia, effective immediately.

"Caritas" represents care and embodies the company's commitment to the members and communities it serves. AmeriHealth Caritas has been improving the lives of its members for more than thirty years. Today, AmeriHealth Caritas operates in 16 states and the District of Columbia and serves more than 6.6 million Medicaid, Medicare and Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) members through its integrated managed care products, behavioral health services, full- service pharmaceutical benefit manager and other administrative services.

AmeriHealth Caritas District of Columbia, a member of the AmeriHealth Caritas family of companies, is a Medicaid managed care health plan that serves Medicaid recipients living throughout the District of Columbia.
