American Property Casualty Insurance Association Commends White House Action to Make Our Nation More Resilient

WASHINGTON, April 23 (TNSPol) -- The American Property Casualty Insurance Association issued the following statement on April 22, 2022:

President Biden signed an Executive Order today to "Strengthen America's Forests, Boost Wildfire Resilience, and Combat Global Deforestation." The order expands the administration's efforts to increase wildfire resiliency through forest stewardship programs and focuses on the development of nature-based resilient solutions. Nat Wienecke, senior vice president of federal government relations at the American Property Casualty Insurance Association (APCIA) released the following statement:
"APCIA commends President Biden for signing the Executive Order and prioritizing the resilience of our nation and the safety of our communities from wildfire risk.
"Communities across the nation increasingly face threats from wildfire risk. Property casualty insurers serve as frontline responders, assisting policyholders in navigating their recovery.
"APCIA and our members work tirelessly to prevent and reduce such devastation. We applaud the administration's action and effort to work with Congress on climate resilience investments for additional legislation."
