Alliant’s Brenna Melvin Named One of 2017’s Women to Watch by Business Insurance

Senior Vice President honored for leadership, innovation in the energy sector

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Brenna Melvin, Senior Vice President within Alliant’s Energy and Marine Group, has been honored as one of 2017’s Women to Watch by Business Insurance. A longtime energy veteran and independent power specialist, Melvin was honored for her vast industry expertise and high-impact leadership as the division continues to post remarkable growth within the sector.

With more than 26 years of industry experience and 19 in the independent power sector, Melvin is highly regarded for combining operational review, contract review, risk mitigation, and insurance strategies to deliver a holistic and comprehensive approach to energy risk. Since joining Alliant in late 2016, Melvin has overseen the development of a range of best practices within the group that have already generated more than 25 percent revenue growth, and climbing.
