HARTFORD - Connecticut Insurance Commissioner Andrew Mais congratulated the state's Affordable Care Act (ACA) health insurance exchange, Access Health CT (AHCT), November 9, for achieving top ranking on the 2021 Health Insurance Exchange Report.
"This is great news for our consumers," said Commissioner Mais. "Each year we encourage prospective consumers to fully research their health plan options and Access Health CT provides a user-friendly and accessible website with extensive and understandable information, including the substantial subsidies provided to consumers. CEO James Michel and his team at AHCT deserve this recognition for helping people make better health insurance choices that suit their needs."

The Council for Affordable Health Coverage (CAHC) and the Health Benefits Institute (HBI) conducted a joint survey to assess the online customer experience for all public exchanges. The report is titled "2021 Health Insurance Exchanges: Evaluating the Online Comparison-Shopping Experience" and was published in November 2021.
