On 15 February 2022, ABN AMRO Bank N.V. announced it had reached agreement about the sale of ABN AMRO Levensverzekering N.V., the life insurance subsidiary of ABN AMRO Verzekeringen, to NN Group. The transaction was subject to regulatory approval. This condition has now been met.
Following this transaction, ABN AMRO Verzekeringen will continue as a non-life insurer and intermediary. This is an important strategic step for ABN AMRO Verzekeringen. The transaction is expected to result in a book gain.
