OLDWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- A.M. Best has affirmed the financial strength rating of A- (Excellent) and the issuer credit rating of “a-” of Pacific Lighthouse Re LLC (PLRL) (Salt Lake City, UT). The outlook for both ratings is stable. Concurrently, A.M. Best has withdrawn the ratings in response to the company’s request to no longer participate in A.M. Best’s interactive rating process.

The ratings and outlook are reflective of PLRL’s strong risk-adjusted capitalization, history of positive operating performance and effective management of exposures. The withdrawal from A.M. Best’s rating process reflects PLRL’s intent to wind down its operations in 2016.
