William J. Musselman Sr. [Intelligencer Journal (Lancaster, PA)]

William J. Musselman Sr., 88, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, June 24, 2012 following a brief illness.

Born December 26, 1923 in Perryville, Maryland, he was the son of the late Charles Y. Musselman, Sr. and Betha M. (Wayne) Musselman. He was married to Rhoda Grace (Little) Musselman for over 57 years. Rhoda passed away on March 3, 2004.

A 1942 graduate of JP McCaskey High School, Bill went on to become a Veteran of WWII proudly serving with the U.S. Army as a Tank Gunner from 1943 to 1946.

Bill worked as a salesman throughout Lancaster County and in 1982 retired from Prudential Life Insurance Company.

He will be lovingly missed by his three children, Sandra L., wife of Thomas Nauman, of Jensen Beach, FL; Brenda D., wife of James Shepps and William J. Musselman Jr., all of Lancaster; nine grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and a brother, Charles Y. Musselman, of Lancaster. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Anna Mary Musselman, Margaret Robson, Iva Metz and Helen Clayton and two brothers, Thomas and John Musselman.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Andrew T. Scheid Funeral Home, 320 Blue Rock Road, Route 999, Millersville, PA 17551, on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 2 PM. Visitation will be held between 1 and 2 PM at Scheid's on Saturday. Committal Services will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA on Monday, July 2, 2012 at 11 AM with full military honors. Kindly omit flowers.
